Where does a home begin? In the land, the body, the memory?
A Long Road Home is a visual and emotional journey following a Colombian family’s arrival in the U.S. in 2024, as they adapt to a new life in New York City. At the heart of the story is Joseth, the family’s 12-year-old son, offering a rare glimpse into migration through a child’s eyes.
This project is about beginnings—about the courage it takes to leave behind everything familiar in search of something better, even when that future is uncertain. At its core, it is a story of quiet resilience in the face of displacement, and of the fragile yet enduring thread of hope that sustains those rebuilding their lives far from home.
